Amongst the gentle foothills of the Organ Mountains, Sonoma Ranch Golf Course boasts both beautiful scenery and enjoyable golf experiences for all skill levels. It was designed by Cal Olson and offers gently rolling hills strewn with bunkers and undulating bent grass greens. With five tee boxes, it offers a stimulating challenge for all levels of golfer. It is also equipped with paved cart paths and a clubhouse with a full-service restaurant.

The Sunset Grill

Savor a meal overlooking the 18th hole of the Sonoma Ranch Golf Course and watching the awe inspiring sunsets that Las Cruces is famous for. The sunset grill provides for a great atmosphere to relax in and enjoy with friends and family. The versatile menu provides for casual breakfast and lunches and then an elegant dinner.

Desert Trails

Desert Trails is a hidden park within the Sonoma Ranch neighborhood. It offers paved trails to walk your dog, exercise, or take a relaxing stroll while enjoying the beautiful wild flowers and natural shrubbery. These trails are good for all skill levels. Within its thirty four acres of native terrain with rambling trails, wildlife, and wide open vistas, you will be immersed in a desert oasis. The parks entrance contains an educational information sign, doggie bag stations, and drinking fountains.

Sagecrest Park

Sagecrest Park is a beautiful neighborhood park complete with picnic tables, green grass, tall trees and a playground for children of all ages. Take a walk or ride down the paved trails just east of the park. You can expect to see varied desert landscape along with with bat houses and burrowing owl habitats clearly marked along the path. If you are up for an adventure, locate the beautiful pond filled with leaping frogs and wading ducks.

The Boulders (55+)

The Boulders at Sonoma Ranch is a vibrant private 55+ community. Amenities include:

Veterans Memorial Park

In honor and memorial of the men and women who fought and served in the United States armed forces and in particular, those who served from Las Cruces area, the Veterans Memorial Park exhibits monuments to honor their sacrifices made over the course of history. The history recognized begins from as early as the American Revolutionary War to the present day. Within the park are picnic tables, walking trails, a playground, and open fields to play sports.

Hike "A" Mountain

At the southern most portion of Sonoma Ranch is the Tortugas mountain, commonly referred to as “A Mountain”. There are several trails just waiting to be explored! You can walk around the base of the mountain or you can hike to the top. The accent is steep but thankfully there are variety of trails you can choose from to reach the summit, one of which is a paved road that will take you an old observatory. On the peak you will have stunning views of Las Cruces and the Organ and Dona Ana mountains.

Hotel Encanto is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Las Cruces! This hotel is packed with New Mexican charm. As you enter the lobby you will be greeted by a beautiful Spanish fountain, large statues, ornate wood work, tropical plants, and life-size artwork.
